Life: Coughing Lungs Out

Sick again. :( But! On the bright side, I am finally done with my final exams for this semester, so I get to be sick in peace, not worrying about studying or disturbing people. Isn't it terrible when you're that coughing, loud sniffly person during the silent tension of an exam? I just hate it.
I have a LOT of projects I want to tackle over the Christmas holiday, but I am starting to feel myself lose momentum. I really wanted to try actually writing and finishing a Dramione one-shot, but I am so scared to start. I mean, having no experience, it's bound to be terrible, isn't it? But I will never get better unless I start! But I don't want the
otterandferret gift exchange to be my first fic ever. (Since the two crack fics I wrote when I was thirteen, anyway.) I think the key is to get some practise in, and then find good betas.

THIS EXCITES ME SO! Being such a Dreamwidth fangirl, I hope this makes it easy for people to switch over and see the light. :P
AND NOW FOR SOMETHING COMPLETELY DIFFERENT: this is adorable, and needs to be attempted.

hey-lo, new friend!
Date: 2011-12-24 06:49 am (UTC)i know what you mean about stalling on fic writing - i've been feeling the same. i haven't written a 'proper' fic before, and i haven't written at all in ages. i'm always tempted by the fic challenges i see, but i don't really trust myself to finish anything (or even to start it). guess we both just need to go for it! easier said than done though. :')

Date: 2011-12-24 04:12 pm (UTC)SO true. I think it's a matter of expectations, too. I need to make myself OK with spouting off crap and being a bad writer for a little bit, if just for the practice. Fic challenges are great ways to start out though!
Ummmm, and your current icon is AMAZING. UNF. I need more kpop icons in mah life.
